Through the many hats I've worn, theatre is the platform and the lens is voice. Whether that is through providing the tools to finding one's voice and ability to confidently express thoughts by opening up one’s sound and clarity of speech, or to produce plays that potentially spark conversation, or as an actress investigating and revealing the life of a character—the work is exciting and full to be sure.  I have been honored to get to work with amazing people  and I am forever curious about creating community, dialogue, and space to potentially help lift up the consciousness of humanity.  To celebrate and share our voices. To listen. I have had my hands, my ears, my mind, my soul in conversations, productions, classrooms, meetings where that space is made possible.  I believe that as theatre artists, we have the opportunity to bring people together and ignite possibility, growth, and change.

"We must continue to open in the face of tremendous opposition. No one is encouraging us to open and still we must peel away the layers of the heart.”-- Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche

I have worked professionally in the theatre world for over 25 years as an actress, producer, teacher, or administrator. Originally from East Texas, I reside in Queens, NY with my husband of 25 years.  I first started producing in Austin, TX with my husband, where we founded the dirigo group and produced award winning productions for nearly 5 years. We then moved to NYC in 2004 where we founded the Theatre East  (ww.theatreeast.org) with which I serve as Associate Artistic Director. Theatre East focuses on community and simple storytelling and produces New York premieres. As an educator, I have worked with UT Austin, NYU Film, Pace University, Powerhouse Apprentice Training Program on the Vassar campus, and CAP 21.  I have been on faculty at Stella Adler Studio of Acting since 2007, where I am a part of the Voice & Speech department and also serve as a voice/dialect coach on productions.  In addition to teaching and coaching, I am a part of the administrative team at Stella Adler, serving as Director of Teen and Young Artists Programs.
