I am so proud to be working on this beautiful play during this time. A NAME FOR A GHOST TO MUTTER by Cyndi Williams, directed by Judson Jones. The cast is a dream. The design elements are gorgeous. And the story...well...one audience member said that "It was honestly just what I needed to renew my faith in our world -- sounds hyperbolic, but truly. I value my artistic community of comrades so very deeply."
So recently, Theatre East produced the 5x5 Drama Series. We traveled to ALL 5 boroughs with 5 short plays. We did the same plays each night. It was such a fulfilling and exciting adventure. Generous hosts and talented casts. Was a great way to spend early May!
And to top it off, Jud and I had the pleasure of acting in one of the short plays together (STANDING ROOM ONLY by Lowell Bartholomee) and were directed by the awesome Patrick Vassell. From apartments, to rooftops, to breweries, to colleges, 5x5 Drama Series as a hit! We look forward to next time!

I'm so excited about this next event that is happening through my theatre company, Theatre East.
Check it out! It's going to be a blast!
Theatre East's founders were born and raised in East Texas. And dancing was a big part of that upbringing. On any given weekend, whether it was slow Western Swing, the Texas Two Step, or an old fashioned Country Waltz, you would find music halls, VFWs, and even someone's barn full of food, cold beer, people and great music. We decided to bring this Texas tradition to the northeast and add in some New York flair.

After an incredibly busy and rewarding 2015 (acting in THREE SISTERS and UNCLE VANYA, producing DEVIL AND THE DEEP and all of the magic in between) it has been wonderful having a bit of time to spend time with family and friends, and catch up a bit.
I am thankful for the busy. I am thankful for the rest. I am thankful for the search, the angst, the peace. I look forward to 2016 and everything it has to offer. I vow to gobble it up.
"Every morning is a fresh beginning. Every day is the world made new. Today is a new day. Today is my world made new. I have lived all my life up to this moment, to come to this day. This moment - this day - is as good as any moment in all eternity. I shall make of this day - each moment of this day - a heaven on earth. This is my day of opportunity."~Dan Custer
